Note:
To check the fluid level - Or - to add fluid to your transmission take a look at the Thumbnail Pic below which shows the location of a plug on the drivers side of the transmission which is used for both applications. If your transmission is heavily soiled with dirt and grime you might need to rub the side of the tranny down ah little to locate the plug.

Note:
If your in a pinch and having trouble finding CD-50 or SAE 50 synthetic lubricant that is Roadranger approved per the pdf file your good to go with any CD-50 synthetic or SAE 50 synthetic lubricant as long as it's marked PS164 Revision 6 or 7 by the manufacturer but you'll more than likely be hard pressed to find any Rev 6 as Rev 7 is the current rating.
