Need to get my Freightliner FL 60 tires balanced.  Any recommendations for the Jacksonville, Florida area?
Thanks.

Sorry no suggestions in FL. but just a thought.  While sitting at the parts dept. desk at my local KW/Volvo dealer waiting to be helped I was reading the DEC. add flyer.  Volvo "BALANCED" WHEELS = $89.00. The dealers can also balance YOUR wheels for a small fee.  In the last 4/5 years I fail to remember even once having the topic of "WHEELs," drums being balanced.  Sounds logical to me, almost a no brainer.  Once again the gap widens between upper class (4,5,6,7,8 trucks).  The bigger the truck the more options you get.  Many spend a lot of money on truing
gadgets for both inside and outside the tire to help them run truer.

Good Luck MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR

Try this:
1. Contact a tire dealer.
2. Tell the tire dealer your tire size and ask if they can balance. If they cannot ask who can?
3. Contact Wal-Mart.  There are at least two supercenters in Jacksonville. Ask the techs in the service department who can balance your tires.
4. If you haven't found a place that can balance your tires then try a truck service center.
5. If you cant find a place in Jacksonville then try another location

Thank you all for your suggestions.

Turns out the balance filler we had put in the new tires takes awhile to "take" but after 400 miles no problem, so didn't need to get them balanced.

We did received a referral for Wingfoot Commercial Tire 450 Lane Avenue North Jacksonville, FL 32254-2819 for future reference in case anyone else needs large tires balanced

I see your problem is solved, but just to add to the mix here: I had Balance Masters installed @ PETRO truckstop 8 years ago and haven't had to balance the tires since!  All PETROs should have them in stock and install while you wait. www.balancemasters.com btw:  I don't recommend Wingfoot in Gainesville (FL).  They made my alignment worse then when I took it to them!  Also, I had to waist a whole day there, since they forgot to order my tires ahead of time (I went there 5 days previous), so I had to wait for a special shipment, then the install, then the alignment.  No comps for my wait = poor customer service...NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!!
